Tiffileld Academy is a special free school which opened in September 2025 in Tiffield, West Northamptonshire. Tiffield Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum, derived from the National Curriculum and adapted to the needs of the pupils who attend the academy.

Tiffield Academy is a special free school which, when at full capacity, will provide 230 places for children of both sexes in the age range 4-18 with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). In our opening year the academy provided up to 142 places for children from Reception through to Year 9. In September 2026 this has increased to 176 places (which are now allocated) and we provide places to children from Reception to Year 10.

In future years, there will be the addition of two Reception classes in September 2027, two in September 2028 and two in September 2029. At this point our school will then provide places to children from Reception to Year 13.

For a child to be admitted, the school must be named, by a local authority, in the child’s education health and care plan (‘EHCP’).

Parents and carers must ask their local authority to submit a consultation to us if you would like to explore if our setting is right for your child.
